Deacon Paul and his community are very happy with their beautiful new columbarium. He is equally happy about their first experience working with KMI Columbaria. “They are small enough that they listened, but big enough that they performed.”

When Deacon Paul Croteau, Director of the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton Catholic Cemeteries needed a columbarium for an 8ft by 8ft space inside their mausoleum, he wanted to capture the constantly changing light and colorful reflections of nearby stained glass window. He envisioned a functional, beautiful, sacred space for the community to honor their deceased loved ones. No off-the-shelf solution was going to fit this special space and vision.

Deacon Paul contacted 3 different companies with details about the columbarium he wanted. He says, “KMI Columbaria was the only company that thoroughly read the email and took into consideration our needs. Instead of showing us “stock” columbarium designs, KMI presented us with a custom design for our special space. It was a no-brainer.”

KMI Columbaria designed a columbarium of glass niches with a cross design. The niches are transparent to make the most of the light and space in the room. Deacon Paul notes, “The design process with KMI was easy and they made sure that we knew what the design was going to look like before it was constructed.”
